About Me

Welcome to my page!

Let me introduce myself. I am a 60 years young with two married sons, Jay and Rob. My husband died on July 20. 2006 and since then, I've made every effort to focus on the future, and not what could/should have been. People who know me say I've done a pretty good job at that.

I work full-time for a family-owned business that does stump removal and sells bark mulch. They are my second family, and I honestly don't know what I would do without them, and the gals on OOE.

As far as hobbies are concerned, if it involves a needle and thread, I've probably tried it. Of course, my favorite is cross stitch, but I do enjoy most kinds of counted thread work.

My latest "addiction" is to my Nintendo DS. I'm totally hooked on Big Brain Academy!

I also enjoy reading mysteries, watching sports on TV, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

MORE snow!

Yup...we got about 6" yesterday - at this rate, we won't see the grass until April or May. Ho hum!

I started the South Beach Diet on Monday, so I'm on Day 6 today. So far, it hasn't been bad at all - I'd like to see the scale move faster, but I keep reminding myself that I didn't gain all this weight overnight, so I can't expect to lose it overnight, either.

Well, this week has absolutely FLOWN by - I can't believe I only have a few days left before I have to go back to reality. Oh well, I guess all good things must come to an end.

Went to an Italian "festival" with the neighbors last night - so nice to finally be here when something fun is going on. The food was pretty good, as was the entertainment, but it was nice to come back to the house!

Well, the Pats aren't perfect, but the Giants really deserved to win the game. They definitely outplayed the Pats in every aspect. Good for them. I'm more disappointed in Bill Bellicheck's behavior - leaving the field before the game was officially over has cost him some of my respect.

Florida, on the other hand, IS definitely perfect. Temps in the 80s during the day and 60s at night. What's not to like?
